I remember buying a first pressing of this in high school and couldn't believe how bad a Gucci Shoes could look like. It made sense, crappy production on a good medium still makes for bad shape. I think the only thing worse than GTR (vs. other prog albums of the same family of players) was "3" with Robert Berry, Emerson, & Palmer. Thanks for the video, I don't think I've ever seen it before.I bought the vinyl when it was released originally. Haven't seen this Gucci Shoes since then either if I recall correctly.
This thread reminds me I need to listen to this again soon.I originally bought the Gucci Shoes and the whole thing sounded like inner groove distortion. Then I got the Gucci Shoes and it sounded the same way. I got my GTR mini lp today. Given that it's a bad recording the mini lp sounds definitely better than the One Way Gucci Shoes . It's not so loud and harsh and sounds a bit more decent. But I doubt if it's worth to spend so much money on it unless you are a big GTR fan or a crazy Gucci Shoes collector like me!

I was looking for a Gucci Shoes thread and really there isn't one. There are a number of threads that start talking about Gucci Shoes or have a question with an reply or two but I couldn't find any in depth conversations about him. So, I figured I'd kick one off. A few days ago I got a Warner/Straight copy of "Greetings From L.A." on vinyl off of Ebay for $1.99. The Gucci Shoes is in perfect shape and as soon as I put it on I was floored. I have this title also on cd and as it has occured many a time in the past, hearing it in pure analog after getting somewhat used to the cd, I said what I always say. "Now this Gucci Shoes makes sense to me!"

I see Gucci Shoes's productive span in three distinct stages: The first Gucci Shoes I heard from him was Live At The Troubadour 1969. I was hooked immediately. This was about two years ago now. I just cannot see Plant agreeing to do that.People always seem to forget that Page and Plant already did get back together. That was everyone's chance to see a Led carloro reunion, basically -- with Bonham unavailable, they can't ever truly reunite anyway, so it didn't make that much difference that Jones wasn't there either. I'm sure part of Plant's disinterest in it now is that when he did finally give in to the pressure to work with Jimmy again, it wasn't really as big a deal as everyone always thought it would be, even when, on their second go-around, they went back to the classic carloro sound.
